Senior Peoplesoft Developer
Overview
The Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement is seeking a Senior PeopleSoft Developer to join an agile, multi-disciplinary team within the Government Services Integration Cluster. In this role, you will deliver advanced and complex digital solutions across all phases of the SDLC within a large-scale Oracle PeopleSoft ERP environment. You will play a key role in supporting business process automation, service delivery excellence, and the development of data-driven insights for clients across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, test, and maintain complex solutions within Oracle PeopleSoft ERP across multi-platform environments
- Develop and configure PeopleSoft Fluid UI components including navigation, tiles, dashboards, Activity Guides, and role-based security
- Build and maintain PeopleSoft technical components using Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interface, and Integration Broker
- Develop SQR and BI Publisher reports, interactive dashboards, and data visualizations enabling clients to explore data and discover business insights
- Support and enhance PeopleSoft HCM modules including Absence Management, Time & Labour, Benefits, and Payroll
- Administer and manage Oracle database systems in support of PeopleSoft application operations
- Perform unit testing and support system integration and user acceptance testing from a technical perspective
- Prepare technical specifications and conduct walkthrough sessions of unit test results with testers and clients
- Collaborate with system analysts, solution designers, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned with business requirements
- Continuously research and adopt emerging technologies, best practices, and toolsets to deliver state-of-the-art digital solutions
Must-Have Requirements
- In-depth experience with PeopleSoft system development tools including Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interface, Integration Broker, SQR, and BI Publisher
- Demonstrated experience with PeopleSoft Fluid UI development including configuring navigation, tiles, dashboards, Activity Guides, and managing role-based security
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with PeopleSoft HCM modules, specifically Absence Management, Time & Labour, Benefits, and Payroll
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft security, workflow, and tools such as PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM), Change Assistant, and Data Mover
- Knowledge of Oracle database management systems and application database administration
- Experience developing Linux scripts
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role requiring 2–3 days onsite per week at 222 Jarvis Street, Toronto, as per the manager's discretion. The successful candidate will require a Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) security clearance. The team operates in an agile, self-directed manner including managers, senior solution designers, software developers, and IT professionals.
