The Business Analyst – Senior will support the Labour and Transportation Cluster within the Project Management & Program Delivery team. The resource will collaborate with core project teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver comprehensive business analysis services across SDLC phases in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, and validation activities aligned with SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Iterative).
  • Facilitate JAD sessions, sprint planning, and stakeholder workshops to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Develop and document business cases, system requirements specifications, business rules, process models, and data models.
  • Create user epics, stories, product backlogs, traceability matrices, test plans, and test cases.
  • Conduct feasibility analysis, project scoping, and provide work estimates.
  • Support development and QA teams through test strategy reviews, defect management, and user acceptance testing.
  • Prepare architecture governance artefacts and ensure compliance with Public Sector standards and Digital Service requirements.
  • Report progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to Project Management.
Must Have Skills
  • 5+ years of Business Analysis experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with SDLC methodologies including Agile and Waterfall, with proven ability to lead sprints.
  • Experience documenting functional and non-functional requirements, system requirements specifications, business process models, use cases, and traceability matrices.
  • Experience engaging business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and provide high-level and detailed estimates.
  • Experience facilitating JAD sessions and project review meetings.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
