The Senior Technology Architect will lead the technical delivery and ongoing enhancement of the Document Verification Service (DVS) within the Government Services Integration Cluster. Working 5 days onsite, the role will coordinate solution vendors and internal SMEs, ensure compliance with OPS SDLC and I&IT standards, and support secure, scalable integrations with client institutions across OPS and BPS.
Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of DVS releases with solution vendors and SMEs, ensuring compliance with OPS SDLC and I&IT standards.
- Serve as primary liaison between client institutions and technology teams to gather requirements, prioritize work, and remove delivery roadblocks.
- Define onboarding processes and establish technical standards, guidelines, and best practices for DVS integrations.
- Support client integration of DVS into their applications, ensuring alignment with GO ICA IAL identity assurance requirements.
- Provide recommendations and oversight for architecture, privacy, security, and AODA compliance.
- Lead DVS upgrades, patches, performance improvements, and availability/scalability initiatives.
- Identify, document, and mitigate technical risks and issues; escalate critical concerns as required.
- Drive integration with identity providers and support end-user scenarios across OPS and BPS.
- Oversee enhancements to integrate DVS with video verification systems to support online validation.
- Provide quality assurance for technical artefacts including architecture diagrams, design documents, and integration plans.
- Champion continuous improvement opportunities to enhance DVS efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability.
Must Have Skills
- Advanced knowledge of IT security authentication and identity verification technologies and related components.
- Experience with enterprise-level online identity verification services such as Interac, IDVerse, and Onfido.
- Experience implementing and supporting SSO, identity federation, identity provisioning, and MFA using services such as Okta and Interac.
- In-depth experience with identity protocols including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML 2.0.
- Experience integrating enterprise public-facing identity systems with cloud identity services such as Okta, Azure AD, Azure AD B2C, and Auth0.
- Experience with ITIL processes including Change, Release, Problem, Capacity, and Service Level Management.
- Proven technical leadership, vendor management, and stakeholder communication skills.
