Rate: $58/hour
Reporting to the Community Services Cluster, the Systems Testing/QA Specialist – Intermediate will provide comprehensive quality assurance services for large-scale enterprise systems. The resource will work 5 days onsite at the identified OPS location and support ongoing sustainment, infrastructure upgrades, and priority initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide advice on testing strategy, test plans, tools selection, and resource requirements.
- Plan and organize testing efforts for large GUI and non-GUI systems, including integration, system, stress, and user acceptance testing.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts across multiple environments.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, performance, and load testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, ALM, and Bugzilla.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Playwright, UFT, TestComplete, Postman, or similar tools.
- Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
- Perform API testing and backend validation using SQL and Oracle DB.
- Validate data integrity, migration, and transformation across system components.
- Conduct accessibility testing in compliance with AODA and WCAG standards using tools such as AXE and screen readers.
- Support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Maintain detailed documentation of test results, coverage, and quality metrics.
- Support CSC release and infrastructure sustainment activities and time-sensitive upgrades.
Must Have Skills
- Strong manual and automated testing experience using Selenium and Playwright.
- Experience writing and troubleshooting automation scripts using JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with Oracle DB, SQL queries, and PL/SQL.
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps for test management and defect tracking.
- Experience testing RESTful APIs using Postman or SoapUI.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience testing for WCAG and AODA compliance.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, QA methodologies, Agile and Waterfall frameworks.
- Previous public sector experience within organizations comparable to OPS.
